California based leading designer of golf-inspired lifestyle sportswear Ashworth Inc announced its roster of Ashworth team members for the upcoming PGA Championship.

Ashworth will be well represented at the 2005 PGA Championship held at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ. Ashworth, the original global golf apparel brand, has assembled one of the most successful teams on the PGA Tour.

"With players such as Fred Couples, Chris DiMarco, Stuart Appleby, Steve Flesch and Rich Beem entered in the field, the Ashworth team will undoubtedly be the strongest apparel-sponsored team competing in the event," commented Chris Demirjian, Ashworth's Director of Sports Marketing.

Coming into the PGA Championship after an exciting third-place finish at this year's British Open is lifetime Ashworth team member Fred Couples. Always cool and relaxed on or off the course, Fred will be wearing the Ashworth Dry-Tech product, which is moisture wicking/breathable and will help keep him cool under the seasonally hot and humid conditions expected to prevail in New Jersey during the PGA Championship. "Look for Fred to finish in the top five, since he is competing to get a spot on the Presidents Cup team," Demirjian commented.

Runner-up in the 2004 PGA Championship and 2005 Masters, Ashworth team member Chris DiMarco will wear the micro pima shield print along with some Double Mercerized styles. These choices reflect the lifestyle of Chris' Florida resort-area home base. His outstanding performance in last year's PGA Championship positions him favorably to capture his first major championship at Baltusrol this year.
