Ruddick Corp signs agreement to acquire Robinson-Anton Textile Co

Bruce N. Anton, the current President of Robison-Anton, will continue to be the President of A&E's newly created Robison-Anton Textile Company embroidery thread division. Anton said, "I am happy to be associated with A&E, a company that is well respected throughout the world. Their customers can be assured that we will continue to offer the quality Robison-Anton products and services they require, both through their current distribution channels as well as the additional distribution capabilities brought by A&E."
Ruddick Corporation is a holding company with two primary operating subsidiaries: Harris Teeter Inc, a regional chain of supermarkets in six southeastern states and American & Efird Inc, a leading manufacturer and distributor of industrial sewing thread with global operations. Ruddick Corporation is also engage in textile and apparel market.
