Mr. Patel added that they currently anticipate earnings to increase in the range of 30 percent- 40 percent, in line with our original guidance at the beginning of the year, but more cautious than their previous mid-year guidance of a 40 percent – 45 percent improvement.
Third quarter operating earnings were $12.4 million in 2005 compared to $9.8 million in 2004. For the nine months, operating earnings improved to $31.6 million from $21.3 million in 2004. The increase reflected a higher gross margin rate of 33.8 percent for the nine months compared to 30.6 percent in 2004.
