Apparel supplier Hampshire picks Kellwood Co's David Brooks business

Leading supplier of apparel, Hampshire Group Limited announced that it has acquired the David Brooks business from Kellwood Company. David Brooks' longstanding reputation for supplying comfort and fashion in the women's "better" priced market makes it a strong building block in Hampshire's diversification and expansion strategy.
To better ensure the success of this ongoing initiative and as a sign of Hampshire's commitment to the "better" priced market, David Brooks will reside within a new division of Hampshire to be known as "Hampshire Better Brands".
For 27 years, David Brooks has represented the best of Classic American Sportswear by enabling today's women to be "country club chic," while remaining true to their desire for a dressed up, casual lifestyle. The entire design, sales, production and administrative team that had been responsible for overseeing David Brooks within Kellwood will be remaining with the business. David Brooks is sold through over 800 specialty stores, as well as upscale department stores, including Lord & Taylor, Von Maur, Nordstroms and Mark, Fore & Strike.
