Los Angeles based lifestyle retailer Guess? Inc reported strong retail sales for the fiscal month of September, which ended on October 1, 2005. Total retail sales for September were $57.6 million, an increase of 25.3 percent from sales of $45.9 million for the fiscal month ended October 2, 2004.
Comparable store sales for the September period increased 14.2 percent. The Company noted that the sales for the month were driven by a larger percentage of full-price sales as compared to the prior year.
For the third quarter ended October 1, 2005, total retail sales increased 19.6 percent to $156.3 million compared to $130.6 million for the third quarter of 2004. Comparable store sales increased 8.9 percent during the third quarter of 2005.
