Leading lifestyle retailer Eddie Bauer Inc announced that it is opening a temporary Down Boutique at Rockefeller Center. The concourse-level shop will open October 20 and will close December 31.
"Eddie Bauer Down is everywhere this season, in places both expected and unexpected. They are filling a temporary boutique at Rockefeller Center with a coterie of new down products, from outerwear, jackets and blazers to scarves, laptop covers, and dog coats," said Fabian Mansson, President and CEO of Eddie Bauer. "They've extended down into so many new categories, it made sense to also temporarily extend their store base by one more to celebrate the offering. There is no better place to be than Rockefeller Center, the top destination for holiday shopping and celebrations."
During the holidays, Rockefeller Center becomes a gathering point for shoppers from all over the country. More tourists flock to the area during the festive season than at any other time of the year. With the gilded statue of Prometheus looking down on the Ice Rink and the enormous tree lighting up the sky, it is the perfect place to embrace the Holidays in the city.
The Ice Rink officially opens on October 20 with a concert and party featuring Grammy winner Sheryl Crow. Eddie Bauer is the official sponsor of this invitation only event.
To make it even easier on holiday shoppers and tourists, a Web Kiosk will be set up for online purchases of all Eddie Bauer products, with free shipping home on all orders.
