Women's clothier Chico's FAS Inc reported October sales results for the four week period ended October 29, 2005, increased 31.8 percent to $114.0 million from $86.5 million reported for the prior year's four week period ended October 30, 2004. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 17.9 percent for the four-week period ended October 29, 2005, compared to the same four-week period last year.
Total sales for the third quarter ended October 29, 2005 increased 33.0 percent to $359 million from $270 million for the same period a year ago. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 16.0 percent for the thirteen-week period compared to the same thirteen-week period last year.
For the thirty-nine weeks ended October 29, 2005, total sales increased 31.7 percent to $1.029 billion from $781 million for the same period a year ago. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 14.2 percent for the thirty-nine week period compared to the same thirty-nine week period last year.
