Leading sports company adidas has been selected by the British Olympic Association (BOA) to supply Team GB's Olympic Team in Beijing in 2008. The global sportswear company will also supply the British competitors at next year's Winter Olympic Games in Turin.

adidas, which has supplied Team GB since the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, will be an Official Sponsor of the Great Britain Olympic Team and supply all technical, training and lifestyle apparel in Turin & Beijing.

Simon Clegg, Chief Executive, British Olympic Association stated that for all athletes an Olympic Games is the culmination of years of hard work. One of the BOA's roles is to ensure that they can perform to their maximum potential. adidas has continually proved it can meet the rigorous demands of an Olympic Games and they have no doubt they will again ensure their athletes have the very best kit and equipment available.

Robin Money, Head of Sports Marketing, adidas Area North informed that adidas has been proud to kit out the Great Britain Olympic Team since 1984 and they are naturally delighted that the BOA wishes to continue their partnership through two more Games. No other sports brand can supply clothing and technical equipment for as many sports as adidas does and this makes their service to the Team GB second to none.

Germany sporting lifestyle firm adidas has over 75 years of experience developing and testing sports clothing, footwear and equipment. T meet the needs of Olympic competitors including introducing the very first track shoes for Olympic athletes in 1928 and the revolutionary heat management system, ClimaCool, in 2004.
