Leading off-price apparel retailer The TJX Companies Inc reported November 2005 sales results. Sales for the four-week period ended November 26, 2005, were $1.5 billion, up 5 percent over $1.4 billion achieved during the four-week period ended November 27, 2004.
For the 43 weeks ended November 26, 2005, sales reached $12.8 billion, a 7 percent increase over last year's $12.0 billion.
Consolidated comparable store sales for the four-week period ended November 26, 2005, decreased 1 percent versus last year. For the 43-week, year-to-date period, consolidated comparable store sales increased 1 percent over last year.
TJX Companies Inc is the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. and worldwide. The Company operates 780 T.J. Maxx, 703 Marshalls, 230 HomeGoods, and 146 A.J. Wright stores, as well as 35 Bob's Stores, in the United States.
