This week on World AIDS Day, Federated Department Stores Inc reaffirmed its strong support of HIV/AIDS through monetary and time contributions in cities coast to coast.

Grants totaling $1.9 million benefited research, preventive education and support efforts in 2004, and grants are expected to surpass that this year.

Included in this total are funds raised through the acclaimed Passport fashion event at Macy's West, which has contributed more than $21 million in its 24-year history.
