The Mumbai-based Jewelry manufacturer, Tara Jewels Exports, has obtained 60 percent ownership in a US jewelry company, Fabrikant Lear International Fabrikant to become the second largest player in the diamond jewelry exports in the country from a turnover of US $80 million to $150-million.
Company has also procured the status of a DTC site holder that will help it to source rough diamonds directly from De Beers thereby enabling it to reduce the procurement costs and above all avail recognition as a world-class diamond jeweler.
Company recently entered the domestic jewelry market by starting a separate unit in the MIDC area near SEEPZ in Mumbai and will utilize the direct marketing route to sell its products at an affordable rate.
The firm has its offices in Mumbai and Goa and desires to establish in Pune, Chandigarh, Surat and Delhi.
