Kirsten Haydon, a Melbourne based jewellery designer had visited Antarctic's frozen layers and tried to convey her experience of the ice-land with the help of first jewellery show on Antarctic work.
The show is opening in Christchurch on Aug, 11.
She was the first jeweller to visit the Antarctic and now wants to visit Arctic to be able to compare the two through her work.
She is displaying her experiences with pieces of necklaces, brooches and buttons and she wants the visitors become explorers by themselves. The works are being displayed in black and white rooms and in a darkened section to create visual effect.
