Tomei Gold a subsidiary of Tomei Consolidated plans to venture into retailing jewelry abroad, particularly in Indonesia and Vietnam.
The group currently has 39 retail outlets in Malaysia and is to open two more in Malacca and Batu Pahat, Johor.
They will be adding five or six more outlets by the year-end and one of them will be in Vietnam.
It is now in the final stages of obtaining an investor's license in Vietnam.
Tomei Consolidated also exports jewelry to Dubai, Indonesia and Europe and is planning to grow that area of business.
Group's net profit last year was RM11.1mil on revenue of RM161mil and this year, the company hopes to achieve RM192mil in sales, which may translate into a net profit of RM26.6mil.
