Delhi has been portrayed as an exotic, intriguing and probably harmonious in a collection of collages by Rudi Benetik who held an exhibition of 37 collages named Delhi days recently.
His work is a combination of various elements like handmade paper, chalks, coal sketches, acrylic paints, bits of newsprint, pieces of cloth and bits of petals and leaves.
The difference between his depiction of Austria and India, are evident from the elements he uses.
He shows the bits of cloth collected from local tailors for his collage marveling at bright colours and textile which is not available in his country.
He has special praise for Indian sari and finds it captivating.
