Jaipur, the Pink City of India, hosts a craft exhibition to benefit the craft industry with innovative export products and to give threshold designers an opportunity to work with industry.
Started today, the exhibition displays designs created and developed with different materials including wood, ceramics, pottery and textiles, said Aparna Singh Banerjee of the Craft Design Centre (CDC).
This first initiative of CDC would provide a platform for a dialogue between the industry and Indian designers, who have good knowledge of indigenous style and the skills of the artisans, Banerjee added.
She said the four-day exhibition would be a link between markets and craft products design.
