To create a place for designers and artisans to develop excellence in handicrafts and handlooms, Haryana Tourism Corporation has set up a 'designer-cum-artisan village' at Surajkund in Faridabad district of the state, said spokesman of the corporation.
This village incorporates 15 specially designed galleries, from which some have been given on lease to reputed designers.
Designers and artisans have been invited for leasing out remaining galleries for a period of one year, which would be extendable.
