Madhya Pradesh (MP) Handicrafts and Handloom Development Corporation Ltd has organized a 'Metro Mela' at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy in Goa that started on Saturday and will last till April 23.
Handicraft and handloom products from MP that includes block printed cotton dress-materials, sarees, cushion and pillow covers, bed-sheets and covers are on display here.
Besides Maheshwari, Chanderi and Tussar silk sarees, leather toys, wood carvings, bell metal, terra-cotta items and bead work are also a major attraction.
Digambar Kamat, Minister for Art and Culture, Goa, inaugurated this trade fair that sports around 44 stalls and 65 artisans with 6 open stalls to be available for display of products.
