Industrial Handicraft Handloom Co-operative Society Ltd (IHHCSL), Panaji, is celebrating its Silver Jubilee year today with an exhibition at Kala Academy.
Established on August 14, 1980, the society is a non-profit organization helping women earn from home.
Providing livelihood and keeping Portuguese art of crochet and embroidery alive are the aims of this organization, which also takes orders for stitching uniforms, patchwork, embroidery etc from its office in Patto.
Organization whole-heartedly works to bring back art of patchwork and blending it with modern designs to keep up with the times.
It provides designs, raw material and also conducts marketing activities thus, giving women enough time to produce goods.
It is run under the efficient leadership of Vijayadevi Rane, Secretary, Phylis Faria and other members.
