Handicraft Sale and Exhibition is being held to commemorate 60th birthday of Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam at Brunei Arts and Handicrafts Training Centre in Jalan Residency, Bandar Seri Begawan.
The exhibition is displaying original arts and handicrafts of Brunei.
Visitors make the bee line for traditional 'kain jongsarat', a masterfully woven cloth with intricate traditional geometrical illustrations consisting of gold thread.
The most expensive 'kain jongsarat' is the 'kain silubang bangsi berpekan' design, which normally is available at $2,070, but price has been slashed to $1,800.
