Iran's export of industrial and mining items including carry on luggage, border and handicrafts reached the figures of US $2,691 billion in the first quarter (Q1) of financial year (starting on March, 21).
Handicrafts exports were at $2.597 million, which was an astonishing 98.8 percent rise in terms of weight and value compared to the same period last year.
Industrial goods share was 43.1 percent, petrochemicals 32.3 percent, agriculture 14.20 percent, carpets and handicrafts 3.4 percent in category of non - oil export for the same period.
Iran's non-oil exports are expected to surpass $8.5 billion by the end of this fiscal. Government sources said that such growth was possible due to enhanced investment in production facilities.
