Iran is going to set up five permanent exhibitions of handicrafts in foreign countries, informed Mojtaba Qasemi, Deputy head, Handicraft Department of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organisation (CHTO).
Speaking at the 5th Exhibition of Cultural Heritage and Tourism held in the northeastern capital Mashhad, Qasemi said that the department was considering implementation of measures like holding professional exhibits inside the country.
Further measures like avoiding the imports of non-Iranian handicraft to the country, requesting the public organizations to gift handicrafts as rewards were also pointed out by Qasemi.
He emphasized the need of reducing price of products and on organizing the handicraft and non-handicraft materials so that the average public could easily feel the difference between the two.
