Handicrafts on display at Craft Man's fair

Craft Man's fair being organized by Artisans Welfare Group, Rajasthan is showcasing an exclusive collection of handlooms, handicrafts and jewellery from all over the country.

The fair was opened by Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's wife Rajathi Karunanidhi and will be opened till September, 10.

Artisans Welfare Group President said that the aim of the fair was to endorse craftmen and weavers and provide them the stage to sell their products.

The handloom items include chanya cholis, tops with mirror work, especially colourful and beautifully stitched clothes for children, salwar sets with chikan work and other household items from states like Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Orrisa, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Among the jewellery items on show were the pieces studded with precious and semi-precious stones, chains and pendants. Pearl jewellery from Hyderabad is also on display.
