Traditional handicrafts of Japan made from traditional materials and techniques are on show at Cultural Center in Sana's up to the beginning of October.

Over the years, artisans and artists have impacted each other. This mutual effect has added to the depth and quality of the Japanese craft. Crafts of textiles, wood and bamboo have played significant role in the lives of people in Japan.

Japanese textile decoration is of two types namely yarn-based textiles and surface-dyed textiles. In yarn-based textile, yarns are dyed and then woven in a pattern whereas in surface-dyed textiles, per-woven, undyed cloth with the help of various techniques is dyed.

Bamboo and wood crafts have been used for long and they have been found from places belonging to forth century B.C.
