Tamil Nadu Handloom Association is all set to initiate a 15 days training program for laborers in the sector.
Around 1500 workers would attend the session on embroidery and ornamental works on cotton materials.
Besides, instruction on weaving accessories like curtain materials, table cloths, mattresses as well as zari work is also planned.
Further, South Asian Association of Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has decided to conduct such training seminars in places like Assam and Andhra Pradesh.
