The Temuka Patchwork Group is all set to beguile new members by means of their upcoming exhibition of patchworks.

The event is to be held at the town's Gallery from November 19 to 23 and will provide guests with an opportunity to learn about the group and to see the variety of artworks put on display.

Patchworks to be showcased not only have a traditional touch to it but also embrace a sea of creativity and modern art.

Janis Kearns, President of the Group asserted that the organization, which started two and a half years ago with only eight members, has been resurrected tremendously in the last 18 months.

Even though the current strength of the Group remains to about 17 members, their work and efforts have been appreciated globally.

Members have learnt a lot about candle wicking, embroidery and hand quilting. Besides, they have also been taken for workshops that included bag making and sampler quilt.
