The Vietnam Fine Arts and Handicrafts Association and the Vietnam Centre for research established a Vietnam Rattan Network, in Hanoi on June 26, with the support of Handicraft Villages.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, The Vietnam Fine Arts and Handicrafts Association, the Vietnam Centre for Research and Support of Handicraft Villages, provincial departments, rattan exporters and importers, and material processing establishments of Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia are the key members of the Vietnam Rattan Network.

This network intends to offer better opportunities to the members to share their experiences and develop Rattan products in Vietnam for providing a sustainable income to people in rural as well as mountainous areas.
