The Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation (Kraftangan Malaysia) will promote three products of Sarawak enjoying good market across the globe. Those three products are the Sarawak Ceramic, Pua Kumbu fabric and bemban basket.
These three Sarawak craft products carry huge potential to penetrate international market and has been attracting visitors at Malaysian craft promotions in and out of the country, said Mr. Datuk Seri Salleh Tun, Chairman, Kraftngan Malaysia.
Mr. Tun was addressing a news conference at the Malaysian Craft Promotion Sarawak 2009. He said that Malaysia had been making Sarawak craft entrepreneurs to participate in foreign promotions.
Among the foreign promotions were the Tokyo Interior Lifestyle, Japan; Ambiente German, Gift & Premium Fair in Hong Kong; Gift & Premium Fair in Singapore and INA Craft in Jakarta, Indonesia.
