The Himachal Pradesh Handicrafts and Handloom Corporation, with the intention to propagate the State's woollen and handicraft products during this festival season, has started giving discounts on these items.
Items ranging right from the hand-knitted woollens like stoles, gloves, shawls, mufflers, socks, jewellery items, caps and pullovers, to Kangra paintings and Chamba rumal (handkerchief) and Chamba chappals (slippers), all are being offered at discounted prices.
The Corporation, while taking into account the forthcoming Diwali festival has resolved to offer a special discount of up to 20 percent on all its products.
Chamba 'rumal' and shawls are highly in demand from the multinational corporations for gifting to their clients. Chamba 'rumal' is available in the price range of Rs. 500 – Rs. 3,000 and hand-knitted shawls are available in the range of Rs. 300 – Rs. 30,000.
