Influenced by the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the J&K Bank has given its consent to further extend its schemes under Special Package for Handicrafts Sector up to March 31, 2011.
The decision of the bank came up in a meeting with the Joint Advisory Committee KCCI, the Chamber said. Various other issues concerning trade, commerce and industry in the state were also taken up for discussion at the meeting.
J&K Bank Handicrafts Sustenance Finance (Outside Tripartite Agreement) and J&K Bank Craftsmen Livelihood Finance are amongst the schemes which the bank has agreed to extend till March 31, 2011, while it has been rightly decided to extend the J&K Bank Dastkaar Finance Scheme even beyond March 31, 2011.
The meeting even proposed that the KCCI would generate awareness and guide the members of the trading community and the craftsmen or producers regarding the schemes of the bank under which the J&K Bank shall extend all possible help.
