India’s Uttar Pradesh (UP) government is discussing with Flipkart to sell khadi products after the successful sale of its khadi products on Amazon India online platform. Khadi products of 10 units are being sold on Amazon, Navneet Sehgal, principal secretary, Khadi and Village Industries told a news agency. Photo shoot of 40 shortlisted khadi products is over.The state’s Khadi and Village Industries Board signed a pact with Amazon India on February 20 this year to facilitate online selling of khadi products.
Amazon India will educate and train khadi artisans to directly sell their products to Amazon customers across India under the brand of ‘UP Khadi’. (DS)
