CCIC's handloom sari expo opens in Mumbai

The Central Cottage Industries Corporation (CCIC) of India has opened an exhibition-cum-sale of exclusive handloom saris at its existing showroom at Mumbai's suburb of Malad.

Kancheepuram silk and cotton saris, Gadwal saris from Andhra Pradesh, Ikat from Orissa and Andhra Pradesh, Paithanis from Maharashtra, Kantha embroidered saris from West Bengal, Block prints from Rajasthan, Chikan embroidered saris from the North East, and Tanchoi/brocade saris from Benares are all on display at the expo.

Some of the unique saris meticulously designed by master craftsmen and national awardees are also on the display at the exhibition.

CCIC is a premier organization in the country, striving to develop, promote and market quality Indian handloom products.
