Hantex expects good sales this festive season

Kerala State Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society Ltd (Hantex) is hoping a good Ramzan-Onam festive season and the body aims to achieve a sales target of Rs. 250 million during the period, state Industries Minister PK Kunhalikutty said.
 
After inaugurating the Ramzan-Onam fair in Thiruvananthapuram, the Minister said 130 Hantex outlets would be opened all across the state, in addition to organizing exhibitions in all the districts of the state.
 
The Minister said the textile sector in Kerala will see major change as the state government would increase the support given to cooperative societies, so that people can avail quality clothes at reasonable prices.
 
He added that the government is contemplating a comprehensive development strategy for the handloom sector and new marketing and promotion activities would soon be introduced.
 
Hantex has over 440 production centres and 150 sales outlets with most modern infrastructure to produce handwoven fabrics, garments, furnishings, made-ups, sarees, traditional wears, etc. strictly in tune and harmony with eco-friendly norms for internal and export market.
