According to the Tamil Nadu State Director, D. Dhanapal, the Asian Development Bank (ADP) has approved Rs 7500 million to the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) for initiating both khadi as well as rural industries development projects.
While speaking to the media, Mr. Dhanapal revealed that the fund will be used for establishing common facility centres, development of region-specific agglomerations for the promotion of rural industries, ensuring marketing prospects for rural products, etc.
