The Uttar Pradesh government is drafting a khadi policy with the theme ‘Khadi for Youth, Khadi For Nation’ to boost the khadi handloom sector, according to state minister for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) Satyadev Pachauri. The policy will encourage the use of solar charkha (spinning wheel) for making fabric that will raise job avenues.
