Internationally renowned Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola has collaborated for the very first time with the famous Danish textile giant Kvadrat to design a new home textiles collection.

The newly unveiled curtain and upholstery range features five digitally inspired colourful designs – Grid 1 +2, Matrix, Memory, Drops and Winding.

The first three designs (Grid 1 +2, Memory and Matrix) feature three-dimensional abstract patterns and the other two – Drops and Winding – include delicate stripes in transparent backgrounds, fit for both public area and home decorations.

The Milan-based acclaimed designer recently showcased the collection through an installation titled The Revolving Room, which brought her the coveted Milan Design Award for best exhibition of 2013.

Founded in 1968, Kvadrat is a leading European brand that supplies a variety of textiles for architects, designers and furniture manufacturers.
