Government recently set up the National Home Textile Standards Technology Committee in Nanjing city, Jiangsu Province.
This is the first national standards technology organization of Chinese home textile industry.
Along with leaders and authorities from the Government and the Industry, the Vice Chairman of China National Textile and Apparel Council, Yang Donghui, attended the inception ceremony of this Committee.
Reportedly, this team will focus on setting up quality standards in an organized way, so as to meet the international standards and also provide domestic industry with clear guidelines.
Yang Donghui pointed out that most of trade frictions are the results of poor product standards. The standards are efficient tools to raise competitiveness of the industry on global scale. Thus, the establishment of advanced standards should be on top priority list of the Committee.
Meanwhile, National Home Textile Standards Technology Committee promised to actively take part in the international standards organizations and strive to improve Chinese standardization.
