Global trends inspires Robin Bruce home furnishing collections

During the opening day of the October 2008 High Point Market, international trend forecaster Kai Chow will be present in the Robin Bruce showroom to discuss the inspiration for the new Robin Bruce collections.
Rowe Fine Furniture, the manufacturer of Robin Bruce, has worked with Kai for several years to tap into global apparel trends for the ongoing evolution of this designer upholstery collection.
Robin Bruce is a leader in bridging apparel trends to the home furnishings industry. The influence of global fashion and culture finds a natural fit with the over 200 fabrics and stylish silhouettes of the furniture in this collection.
New style and fabric introductions from Robin Bruce will serve as the examples of the trends for 2009 which Kai will discuss.
Monday, October 20th, will be Kai's first appearance at the High Point Market. He will be available throughout the day to discuss how the new Robin Bruce fabric applications and styles are exemplary of trending forecasts for 2009.
The collection is displayed at the Robin Bruce showroom located in the IHFC Building, C-1058.
Kai Chow is an industry-wide authority with a prestigious background. Originally from Hong Kong, Kai developed his career in Paris, London and New York as he designed high-end apparel and accessories.
In 1983, he joined Here & There, a leader in fashion intelligence and forecasting and began to provide clients with color, lifestyle, fabric and print forecasts.
In addition, he provided retail, runway, trade show and streetwear reports. In 1994, Kai assumed the role of President for Here & There and in 2006 he joined The Doneger Group where he is currently a Creative Director.
Kai's international background and his ability to incorporate intelligence from diverse industries provide an indispensable perspective on global trends and big picture concepts.
His recent appearances include the InterTextile trade shows in Shanghai and Beijing where he delivered a keynote seminar on “Home and Color trends for 2009 – Concept for interior and furniture design to home textiles and prints”.
Kai recently returned from Hong Kong where he was the Interstoff Asia Essential trend forum chief designer. Monday, October 20th, will be Kai's first appearance at the High Point Market.
