Two years ago at the Interzum Awards, Bekaert Textiles reaped the benefits of Purotex, a 100% green product developed with natural components, thus containing no chemicals whatsoever. This year too, Bekaert Textiles came out on top: its Smart Wrap innovation was granted the award for Intelligent Material & Design in the highest category 'Best of the Best'. This award is given to only seven products. Smart Wrap is a ready-made cover with built-in sensors.
Bekaert Textiles Group currently has 3 establishments in Europe: in Waregem (West-Flanders, Belgium), Turkey and the Czech Republic. In addition to this, Bekaert further extends its global footprint with establishments in the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Australia and China. This way Bekaert employs 1.100 people worldwide.
