India’s eastern state of Odisha recently approved 19 investment projects worth ₹38.985 billion (~$462.072 million) during the 136th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), the Chief Minister’s office announced on Facebook.

The projects will be implemented across 11 districts: Angul, Balasore, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Sambalpur and Sundargarh. The projects include one in the textile sector and a logistics park.

Shree Sidhi Vinayak Texcolours Pvt Ltd will set up a $11.85-million yarn dyeing and knitted fabric processing unit in Khordha district, whereas Vasanth Vihar Constructions (India) Pvt Ltd will construct a logistics park in the same district investing $15.91 million.

Chaired by state chief secretary Manoj Ahuja, the approved proposals are expected to generate more than 7,400 jobs.
