Profits of China’s major industrial firms rose 3.2 per cent year on year (YoY) in the first nine months of 2025, reaching 5.37 trillion yuan (~$743 billion), according to National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The report covers industrial firms with annual main business revenue of at least 20 million yuan (~$2.8 million).

In September 2025 alone, profits of major industrial enterprises showed a strong rebound, surging 21.6 per cent from the same month last year, the NBS said.
