Ding Yu (BD) Enterprise Ltd, a Chinese firm, has signed an agreement to set up a garment manufacturing facility in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority Economic Zone (BEPZA EZ). The company is set to invest $ 28.92 million for this project. The agreement was signed at the BEPZA Complex in Dhaka.This agreement will generate an employment for 3,135 Bangladeshi workers as the Chinese manufacturer aims to produce 50 million pieces of underwear, T-shirts, yoga pants, and swim pants each year, BEPZA said in a media release.
Ding Yu (BD) Enterprise Ltd, a Chinese firm, will invest $28.92 million to establish a garment manufacturing unit in BEPZA Economic Zone, Dhaka, creating 3,135 jobs.
The facility will produce 50 million garments annually.
The agreement was signed by BEPZA's Md Ashraful Kabir and Ding Yu's Zhuofan Cai, with BEPZA's executive chairman welcoming the firm as a new member.
