Visitors can witness the colouring and dying process, he said.

Some big players have approached the state government with collaboration offers, Lyngdoh said the government will adopt more villages and turn them into weavers’ hubs, media outlets from the state reported.

The recent geographical indication tag for Ryndia (Eri silk), Lyngdoh said the recognition will ensure exclusivity of product and marketability.
