A textile workers union has urged the Puducherry administration to bring all the textile mills in the union territory under the administration of the Puducherry Textiles Corporation.
This was said at a conference of the Puducherry State Textile Labour Union, which also called upon the administration to ensure uniform wages are paid to all workers of the textile mills.
Currently only the AFT Mills is managed by the corporation. The union wants the other mills like Swadeshi Mills and Bharathi Mills, brought under the ambit of the corporation.
