Swaziland, a small country in Africa, will witness strike by textile workers on February 27. This major step is taken only because negotiations between the Swaziland Manufacturing and Allied Workers Union. (SMAWU), representing the textile workers and the Swaziland Textile Exporters Association (STEA) had no positive result.
The Consiliation Mediation and Arbitration Commission (CMAC), conducted a ballot in the textile factories of the country to know if all workers would participate in the strike. It's only after unsatisfied worker came together that the strike was announced.
The major reason for the strike is, that the companies are no providing necessary facilities like safe working conditions and proper wages to mill workers. Although most of the country's population is engaged in textile sector, it has not brought prosperity and good living to the workers.
