Concerns arising from high-level pollution, created by the textile processing units located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad, has driven MCT Enviro Infrastructure Ltd to construct a 78 kilometer effluent discharge pipeline extending till the Gulf of Khambat.

This pipeline has a capacity to convey average 100MLD of treated waste water.

A special purpose vehicle namely, MCT (Ahmedabad) Textile Effluent Cluster Ltd, will be formed as a part of the project in partner ship with the Government of Gujarat.

Experienced consultancy firms are invited to submit their expression of interest for the consultancy of the project. Infrastructure is available with the company for carrying out the project and key organizational personnel will be involved in the project.

This pipeline will be constructed on BOOT build, own, operate and transfer basis with a capital investment of Rs295 crore.

The funds required for the project shall be managed through promoters' contribution, equity and debt.

Moreover, it will be handed over to the Ahmedabad Textile Processors Association (ATPA) after five years from the time of its commencement.
