Fixed-assets investment of textiles grows this year

According to National Statistics, the actual fixed-assets investment of Chinese textile and clothing industry in the first half of this year reached nearly 126.729 billion yuan, registering increase of 14.24 percent than the similar period of last year.

Key investment areas included Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, accomplishing nearly 22.925 billion yuan, 19 billion yuan and 14.41 billion yuan, respectively.

Cotton, chemical fibre, dyeing and printing, finished textile product, knitting, clothing, shoes as well as caps were the sectors with top investment. These industries together touched around 115.55 billion yuan, accounting for about 91.18 percent of the total fixed assets investment.

Analysts reveal that the fixed assets investment in the chemical fibre manufacturing industry has remained high, reaching almost 12.915 billion yuan.
