In the first 6 months of 2009, investments in fixed assets in textile industry with investment over five million Yuan totaled to 134.77 billion Yuan, an increase of 6.35 percent over the same period of the previous year.
In the period, January to June, newly started projects numbered 3,930, an increase of 22.05 percent year-on-year, also showing a growth from month to month, reflecting a confidence of recovery in the markets.
From January to June, the major textile enterprises realized an accumulative production value of 1.33 trillion Yuan, up 10.72 percent year-on-year, though growth rate fell 9.68 percent from the same period last year.
