Tai Group textile unit based in Ahmedabad has been acquired by leading textile manufacturer Spentex Industries Ltd for a consideration of Rs 28.61 crore.
Earlier, Tai Group assets were seized by the Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets & Enforcement of Securities Interest Act and the unit went under liquidation.
Banks which floated the tender invited offers for sale of the assets and Spentex led the list of offers received by them.
