Sachin Industrial Estate to get makeover

The Government of Gujarat is investing a sum of Rs 225 million in the Sachin Industrial Estate located in the textile hub of Surat. Sachin Industrial Estate compromises of a huge number of industries related to the textile sector.

The estate will receive a complete makeover and infrastructure facilities will be set up, on the lines of global standards under the critical infrastructure project (CIP) scheme.

Sachin Industrial Estate was set up way back in 1980, and in a period of 30 years, has developed in to an industrial hub, with various numbers of industries like, weaving, fabric processing, textile machineries and ancillary units being set up.

Mr Jagdish Ramani, President of Sachin Industrial Association told fibre2fashion that, “For modification and refurbishing the estate, we gave 3-4 plans to the government and now the government has allocated funds to upgrade infrastructural facilities.

“Under this project, new four-lane roads with dividers, underground drainage facilities, separate water pipelines for drinking and utilities, planting trees and beautification of the estate will be done, he added by saying.
