As per the government plan to shutdown old technology production capacities to reduce carbon emissions by September 2010, 710 million meters of fabric dyeing and printing capacity is expected to be shut down in Shaoxing County.
Shaoxing County is well-known as a major textile hub and is located in the south of the Yangtze Delta in Zhejiang Province in Eastern China.
This reduction in capacity will eliminate around 5 percent of the current dyeing and production capacity of the county.
